Kim Haun has
shared some recent photos of a Cobra built by Barry several years
ago. Kim has made some performance modifications with some guidance
from Barry. The results should deliver a better ride and performance.

I wanted to send you some pictures of how my
car is turning out and some of the mods I've been speaking to
you about. Your guidance and advice has been very much appreciated.

Here's what I ended up with to make my stock
spring hat into a longer travel coil-over application. I cut
a 4" hole in the top of the spring hat and built an upper shock
eye tower over the hole. It's very strong and there's no rubbing
and works great! And I was able to do all the work under the
fender without moving or removing the suspension.

While I was at it I added this frame cross
brace between the two new shock towers, attaching to the top
of the K member. It is easily removable for any service to the
front of the engine. It really stiffened things up! Since the
photo was taken, I replaced the rag joint with a universal joint
as well.

Here's a fun one! I opened up the front of
the hood scoop to allow more flow…

And then made this cold air intake box that
seals against the hood. It makes a big difference in horse power.

I was successful in narrowing the reared 2.5"
and installing my back brakes on the front of the rotor. Here's
a photo of the mod without the rotor. With the bolt-on caliper
kit I had to go to a bigger rotor which gave me a bit more rear
braking power than I needed.
